The Bible warns us that “self-deception” will be prevalent in the last days even among Christians. Today’s message will teach us: What does it mean to be self-deceived?, and how can we avoid being prone to this dangerous position?

“The heart is deceitful above all things, who can understand it? But I, the LORD, search all hearts & examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9-10

But the Word declares that the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” We as Christians ought to know this “other side” of our God so we can give Him the full respect He deserves, so we’d also know how we can fully love, respect & obey Him.

“Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body; they cannot do any more to you after that. But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, He’s the one to fear.”-Luke 12:4-5
