The Lord said, “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at My word.”–Isaiah 66:2

There are many reminders from the Bible how “correction & discipline” can make us wise & successful, yet most of us struggle in this area the most. We often misinterpret painful words from those in authority above us and allow bitterness to take root in our heart.

The Bible said, “those who ignore correction will go astray, while those who accepts discipline will be counted among the wise.” If we really want to live a prosperous life, we must learn how to accept correction & show true humility especially when we are being rebuked & disciplined.

 

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.”-Proverbs 12:15

God has already provided a way for all of us to come & receive answers to our prayers. But there are two specific “heart attitudes” that we need to consider seriously. This is “the expression of true humility & our effort to seek God’s face.”
As soon as we recognize & choose to follow the Lord’s guidance, we can be assured that healing, peace & blessings will follow.

 

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”-2 Chronicles 7:14

True change can still be experienced no matter how many times people be tempted & fail. God’s blessings & deliverance are readily available to us, but there’s a very important step we must first take seriously before we can enter the peaceful & abundant life we always pray for.

More than our motivation of receiving any blessing from Him, God longs to see us first have a change of heart. Because when our heart is in the right place, nothing will be impossible for us.

“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”-James 4:6-7
