Daily Peace and Comfort
God blesses those who have a thankful heart. When you are grateful for the little things God is giving you, He will reward you with bigger things in life. It’s not easy to be thankful when things are not going well in our life, but if we keep a good attitude no matter what, God will miraculously work in our behalf.
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”-1 Thessalonians 5:18
The moment that you start caring more about someone else’s needs than rather than your own can be a moment of breakthrough for you. A moment where you will feel God’s power to multiply work in your life. For He promised to bless you and your work when you care for the things that He cares about.
["Give generously to them (the poor) and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to." Deuteronomy 15:10]
God wants us to walk in peace continually. If we try to figure out everything, it will be very hard for us to live in peace. But if we choose to believe that all of the trials we are experiencing has a good purpose, we can rest with hope in our hearts that God will take care of everything that concerns us.
[ "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." - Romans 8:28 ]
Whenever we feel tired of waiting for God’s answer to our prayers, His grace enables us to move forward. Trusting in His grace means we don’t have to strive and struggle through this life to prove ourselves and to make it on our own. God sometimes delays, but He always comes.
“And those who know Your name put their trust in You, for You O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” -Psalm 9:10
If you feel like your problems are too big for you, then God wants you to know today that – it’s just the right size for Him. No problem is too big for our great God! Every time we struggle and come to Him in prayer, it’s important that we know His Word so that we can declare our faith in all His promises.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” -Hebrews 11:6
One of the most precious gifts God has given us is the gift of time. We often do not realize the value of each hour in every day. We waste our time with unnecessary things, not realizing how it could be used to change the course of our life for the better. Today, God is reminding us to be wise with how we use our time. Are we spending or investing it?
“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise making the most of your time because the days are evil.”-Ephesians 5:15-16
Many times, we say we are trusting God, but our minds are constantly worrying. The Lord is reminding us today to trust in Him always and lean not in our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5)
Do you feel tired of thinking about a certain fear or problem? Are you tired of the pain and confusion? Then God is telling you right now to give your mind a rest. Lay aside all your worries, breathe slowly, spend time with Him and just focus on hearing His divine direction. He promised to never turn away if you will just come to Him.
["Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27]
What do you need from God today? Are you sad? Then He can be your source of true joy. If you are sick, Jesus is your Healer.. In bondage? He will be your Deliverer and Provider.
God introduced Himself to Moses as “I am who I am”. He wanted to tell His people that, “I am your God, I’ll be whoever you need Me to be.” As His children, it is God’s will to deliver us from any bondage we are facing today, He is just waiting for us to surrender ourselves to His care and tell Him, “Have your way Lord. Let Your will be done in my life…”
[ Then the Lord told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of My people. I have heard their cries of distress. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them..." - Exodus 3:7-8 ]
Most of the time, we discover God when we are left on our own. But it is through failure, problems and neediness that we also learn to rely on God. By trusting in His love that will never ever fail, we can start to enjoy a victorious life and look forward to a better tomorrow.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”- 1 Corinthians 13:13
Do you feel bad today because of what someone has done to you? Do you feel down because someone has disappointed you? Jesus knows how you feel because He also experienced it. But despite being lied to, hurt and betrayed, He still chose to forgive those who hurt Him and not give in to His emotions.
God is reminding us today to do the same. Before we react in anger, irritation or judgement, let us remember Jesus’ kindness and humility. He has been gracious to us despite our imperfections. In the same way, He expects us to do the same to others.
[ "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." - John 15:12 ]
[ “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven"-Luke 6:37 ]
Sometimes we feel fearful about what will happen tomorrow. God is assuring us today that when we are in constant communication with Him through His Word, we will walk steadily in peace and victory. Jesus said, here on earth we will have trials and sorrows, but we must never give up. He has already won the victory for us.
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33
