Last March 15 our website was maliciously hacked by an Indonesian hacker. Thank God we have routine back-ups of the site so most of our files was saved.
Being hacked is NOT a nice or desired experience, but just like what we have been told time and again in the messages that we hear,
“All things work together for good… for those who love God & are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
It’s true. All things really do work together for our own good. God always has a purpose, and only He knows why negative things happen even in the things that we do for Him. We just need to be positive and always on the lookout for the good in everything.
The hacking (though an inconvenience) has taught us how to be more wise in securing the website & to not be naive thinking that we will never be hacked because we are just a “harmless” religious website. No. The hackers are out to destroy anything they want to, even if what we’re doing is for the Lord.
The entire experience of being compromised may have felt devastating at first, but it has taught us so much, making us wiser to prevent it from happening again. It has opened a new season – a better one, than what we had in the past.
Yes, because God is faithful, “…what the enemy meant for harm, He intended it for our good.”
So here it is. TROMS 3.0! 🙂 Thank you Lord for the guidance and thank you Partners for the prayers. All glory belongs to the Lord!
Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.
